Hummingbirds prefer moving water to still water, and misters above all, like this cool and comfy little girl. They will sit it them, fly through them, and generally preen and clean the sticky nectar from their beaks.
Solar misting birdbaths are available for a minimum of fuss. Or, a hose attachment can provide a gentle mist like the one above. Nozzles that drip a slow steady stream are also a favorite. Park one next to some foliage or tiny branches for best effect-and best perches and access options.
